Terry Rozier appears to travel before game-winner in Warriors-Hornets

Rozier might have traveled before game-winner vs. Warriors originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

The wild finish in Saturday night’s Warriors-Hornets game in Charlotte featured a bunch of antics in the final moments.

After Draymond Green’s sudden ejection from two quick technical fouls, Terry Rozier knocked down the game-winner at the buzzer and got mobbed by his teammates. But TV replays appear to show Rozier potentially travel, double-dribble, carry the ball, or quickly bounce it off his leg before getting in position to hoist the shot.

Rozier’s buzzer-beater capped off a brutal 102-100 defeat for the Warriors, in a game that also featured Steph Curry’s late scratch right before tip-off in his hometown.

“That’s as tough as it gets, that loss right there,” Kerr told reporters in his postgame video conference. “There’s not going to be a whole lot of energy in the locker room after a game like that.”

The Warriors’ bench got an up-close look at Rozier’s dagger. If you keep an eye on assistant coaches Mike Brown and Jarron Collins, you can see them appearing to appeal for a whistle, presumably on Rozier, shortly after the ball is bobbled.

Here’s another angle of the Rozier dribble in question.

In the end, Rozier will be remembered for his epic walk-off and scoring 16 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter.

“He got hot and made some incredible shots, so give him credit,” Kerr said.

Earlier in the game, the referees appeared to miss a call when Kelly Oubre Jr. appeared to be blocked and the ball went out of bounds, though they ruled that Oubre missed a dunk and sent the ball flying.

But as Kerr noted in his postgame video conference, “you can’t challenge a non-call, you can only challenge a call,” so one can assume he couldn’t use a coach’s challenge for the final non-call, either.
