Law enforcement searching for three missing teens

Law enforcement in two Acadiana parishes are involved in the search for three missing girls.

According to Lafayette Parish law enforcement, Destyn Lacque of Duson left her home in Lafayette Parish sometime during the night of Tuesday February 16, 2021 or the early morning hours of Wednesday February 17, 2021. Deputies with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office say by what means of travel she left home is unknown.

She is believed to be with two other girls 14-year-old Elissa Meche and 13-year-old Addison Wade. Both were reported missing from St. Landry Parish.

The Lafayette Sheriff’s Office mentions that they believe the girls may have altered their appearances by cutting or coloring their hair.

LPSO says that information being shared on social media suggesting the girls were kidnapped is not accurate.

Destyn Lacque is approximately 5’3″, weighs 100lbs and has light brown hair and brown eyes. Elissa Meche, 14, was reported as having blonde hair when she left home. Addison Wade, 13, has brown hair and blue eyes, is approximately 5’4″ and weighs 120lbs.

If you see Lacque, Meche and/or Wade, or have any information on their whereabouts, please call the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 232-9211, Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-TIPS(8477) or submit a tip on the Lafayette Sheriff App.
